AGIFORS Airline Operations 2020

Date
01 - 05 Jun 2020
Location
Virtual conference
Description

The conference, being hosted by Oman Air and being organized once again in conjunction with the recently formed AGIFORS Aircraft Maintenance Operations study group is a Forum for airline senior managers, airline personnel, vendors, and members of academia to review the most pressing issues facing airline operations today and offer potential solutions. It is designed to address all aspects of Flight Operations, Ground Resources and Maintenance. To be more specific, major topics to be discussed and reviewed relate to aircraft maintenance, airport systems, aviation security, operations control, dependability, robust scheduling, integrated schedule management, tactical planning, ground resource management, disruption management, and air traffic management. Therefore, leading experts in the airline industry as well as representatives provide the opportunity for a high level of networking.

While we welcome ALL our usual different topic areas, we want to dedicate much of the program to this theme: “What has COVID-19 done to our airlines – and what can software vendors, decision support solutions, and consultancies do to help us restore our operations to normal?

Martin Sedlacek, Associate Partner and Head of Solution Group Flight Operations and Safety Management, is looking forward to share his views within his speech “Airline Operational Excellence - what should be the priorities now?”.

Anna Sauer, Senior Consultant, will be joining the panel discussion: Why have there been no major new approaches to disruption management in the past 20 years?  What can we do now?”

Award

Best of Consulting

For the second time in a row Lufthansa Consulting has been awarded the renowned consultancy prize "Best of Consulting" by the German weekly business news magazine WirtschaftsWoche. The “Excellent” award went to a successful Air Service Development project with Auckland International Airport, the largest airport of New Zealand and the third busiest international airport in Australasia. Lufthansa Consulting and its client Auckland International Airport are incredibly pleased about the award and that the WirtschaftsWoche jury could also be convinced of this successful project. Both look very much forward to their further productive and prosperous cooperation.
