It was once again a great pleasure to host the Lufthansa Consulting alumni meeting 2021 for the ninth time in succession. The Corona virus has made it difficult to hold events, so the meeting was held in a virtual format. This has the added advantage that colleagues from all parts of the globe can also participate. Indeed, our alumni joined us from a wide range of worldwide locations.
We kicked off with a short film reflecting the milestones and mood of the last 12 months followed by an overview of how Lufthansa Consulting has navigated the past year by Managing Director, Hannes Müller.
Our experts then took the alumni on a couple of deep dives into topics that are most relevant for the aviation industry at present.
Vera Aurbach, Solution Group Customer Experience, gave us some insights into the latest customer experience trends globally but more precisely in the African market. She helped prepare Lufthansa Consulting’s customer experience trend study that was published this year. She also supported our very successful customer experience workshop in cooperation with AFRAA, the African Airlines Association and gave the audience insights from the polling trends from the workshop.
Sustainability is quite rightly a trend topic and a necessity in many industries including the aviation industry. Kirstin Müller-Umlauf is part of our team of experts who have been researching and driving the development of sustainable products within Lufthansa Consulting and presented some of the main insights. Sustainability spans across all of our solution groups and our clients are needing guidance and expertise as the demand for sustainable action affects all areas of aviation.
The evening was rounded off with a dynamic networking session which gave all our alumni and management a wonderful opportunity for personal exchange in our virtual setting.
