Lufthansa Consulting exhibitor at 25th World Route Development Forum

In the anniversary year of World Routes, Lufthansa Consulting will once again be represented at the conference from 21 to 24 September 2019 in Adelaide, Australia. The aviation specialists welcome visitors to exhibition stand PS11.

The company’s Air Service Development and Network and Fleet Planning experts look forward to sharing their targeted approaches and competitive solutions from Lufthansa Consulting’s more than 30 years proven expertise. Managing Consultant Karel Sucha together with Consultant Luisa Grasshoff and Business Analyst Johann Gies will present their Best in Class services to the aviation industry.

Air Service Development (ASD) aims at achieving higher revenues earned through aeronautical sources but is also linked to greater non-aeronautical revenues. Airports of all sizes benefit from sustainable traffic growth, an enhanced destination portfolio and more airline customers. Unlocking this potential is a challenge for airports because airline network decisions drive the airports’ business development opportunities. Lufthansa Consulting understands the airline planning process and airline commercial decision criteria. The experts provide the necessary airline network management skills and the essential access to relevant traffic data and tools. Successful negotiations are achieved by understanding that airlines focus on a different set of KPIs to airports.

For more than two decades, the company’s experts have supported airports in their Air Service Development activities. They typically start with a market potential analysis to assess the airport’s true demand for air services and use Route Studies to illustrate the potential of relevant unserved and underserved routes. This is supported by an airport incentive scheme tailor-made to the type of traffic the airport client wants to attract. Best of Consulting

Lufthansa Consulting has been awarded the coveted consultancy prize "Best of Consulting 2018" by the German weekly business news magazine WirtschaftsWoche. The aviation consultants took part in this competition for the first time and achieved their goal straight away with first place in the category “Competitive Strategy”. The award went to a project which was successfully completed with Czech Airlines (CSA), the national airline of the Czech Republic. Lufthansa Consulting and CSA jointly developed an ancillary revenue strategy and a branded fares concept. The implementation of the overall project resulted in a significant increase in ancillary revenues and thus in a positive operating profit for Czech Airlines.
