Werner Schuessler


Werner Schuessler is Managing Partner of Lufthansa Consulting. He oversees the Airport and Air Cargo Logistics practices as well as the regional offices in Moscow (Russia, CIS), Singapore (Asia/Pacific) and Miami (The Americas) which were established over the recent years to achieve maximum proximity to our international clients. 

Specialist area

His significant experience in the aviation business is focused particularly on logistics, process management, cost cutting strategies, warehouse outsourcing and international management.
He has profound logistics expertise and extensive experience in cargo and logistics process management and redesign (aircraft, ramp and warehouse operations), design-to-cost and management of customer interfaces.

Mr Schuessler is a specialist and project leader in general airline management, process management, cost cutting strategies and warehouse outsourcing. He was also responsible for successful warehouse outsourcing projects for Lufthansa Cargo in several cargo hubs in Germany, the USA and Asia.

In cooperation with a team of international external consultants and in-house staff, Mr. Schuessler was significantly involved in the restructuring of the whole Lufthansa Group in the mid 90s, which paved the way for Lufthansa’s success over the next decade.

Outside the office

Mr. Schuessler enjoys travelling in Asia and has a particular affinity to Thailand and China, where he has lived and worked. He is an active member of the East Asia Society and naturally takes a keen interest in our business development activities in this part of the world. He enjoys reading predominantly about financial and business issues. Mr. Schuessler takes pleasure in playing golf for relaxation.
