Project description

Lufthansa Consulting was commissioned to conduct a functional audit of a West African Airline, the country's national carrier to provide the investor with enough input to rate a possible take-over of the airline. The consultants thus assessed all areas of the airline and compared the current organization, strategies, policies and processes with industry best practices. The functional audit was complemented by a due diligence analysis that was accomplished by a traditional accounting firm. Based on the results of the functional audit, the Lufthansa Consulting prepared recommendations for improvements and translated them into a 5 year business plan. After the take-over of the airline in August 2008, Lufthansa Consulting also supported the airline in implementing the recommended measures.
