In the framework of their joint Air Service Development project, the City of Lodz and Lufthansa Consulting can report a significant success. Together they have managed to win another airline to serve Wladyslaw Reymont Airport Lodz. Commencing on 30th March 2010, the Hungarian low cost carrier Wizz Air will operate the new service with twice-weekly flights between Lodz Airport and Dortmund, Germany.

Since the beginning of the collaboration with the City of Lodz in 2008, Lufthansa Consulting has provided an in-depth market positioning strategy, a traffic development concept and a marketing action plan for the airport. The most important project objective, the creation of an Aviation Marketing Department within the city’s administration, has been successfully achieved with the support of the German aviation consultants, who will continue the assistance to increase air services to and from the central Polish airport.
