EASA International Technical Cooperation Mission

In the framework of its International Technical Cooperation Mission, the European Aviation Safety Agency EASA has chosen a consortium of civil aviation experts to encourage the organization’s overall objective of promoting the highest standards of safety and environment protection in aviation. Lufthansa Consulting - together with Lufthansa Technical Training as well as Bureau Veritas, SGI Aviation Services and UK CAA International – is contributing to this purpose as part of a specialist group led by French Egis Avia.

The consortium will help EASA’s International Technical Cooperation unit with consulting services such as current situation assessments in terms of aviation safety and environment protection, identification of potential improvements in adopting international or European standards as well as the development of roadmaps and action plans. The respective recipient countries increasingly apply for advice and technical assistance in an ever growing worldwide air traffic environment. Furthermore the group of experts can support EASA in fulfilling the requirements of the European Commission (EC) with the launch of civil aviation cooperation programmes.

The agreement was signed for a renewable one-year period, with a maximum entire duration of four years.
