Benchmarking Operative Fuel ManagementEfficient cost control remains the number one priority in operational airline management. Fuel is one of the main cost drivers in the industry, but are fuel prices and consumption under control?
Regional carriers generally operate some of the most fuel-efficient aircraft. However there is still unused potential to reduce fuel burn and operating costs.
Lufthansa Consulting is conducting an Operational Fuel Performance Study in cooperation with flight performance software provider PACE which focuses on how airlines, that operate regional aircraft, are controlling these costs.
The survey will examine the type of tools applied by regional carriers to manage fuel savings (e.g. hedging, IT tools, Cost Index operations, etc.) and how successful these tools and measures are in reducing costs.
The study will provide an anonymous benchmark of the fuel reduction activities of different carriers with the industry standard and take a detailed look at cost index operations for regional aircraft.
All participants will receive the study free of charge. In addition, participants will be invited to attend a forum to discuss the results in detail with other participants and our airline operations and engineering experts.
If you operate regional aircraft and would like to participate in the survey, please contact Mr. Timo Rapp who will be more than happy to forward you the initial study questionnaire or arrange an appointment for a personal interview.
