Kazakhstan: Dangerous goods training for Sary-Arka Airport in Karaganda

Lufthansa Consulting’s airport consultancy division can add another airport in the CIS states to its customer base. Sary-Arka Airport in Karaganda/Kazakhstan has commissioned the consultants to conduct an aviation-specific dangerous goods training program for its employees.

As part of the close collaboration between Lufthansa Consulting and Munich Airport, a trainer from the Munich Airport Academy who is specially licensed to conduct dangerous goods seminars in compliance with ICAO/IATA standards was deployed to Kazakhstan. In cooperation with Lufthansa Consulting, the Operations division of Sary-Arka Airport has already successfully concluded several training programs, including training in ground operations and fueling, in accordance with ICAO/IATA guidelines.

Karaganda’s Sary-Arka Airport is one of the largest airports in Central Asia and is the gateway to the Karaganda region. The air route via Sary-Arka Airport is one of the most convenient intercontinental air routes thanks to the location of Kazakhstan and Karaganda at the crossroads of transport flows from Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Far East.
