From 13 - 15 November 2013, Lufthansa Consulting is participating in the ALTA Airline Leaders Forum in Cancun, Mexico – the leading and largest event of its kind in the Latin American and Caribbean commercial aviation industry. As a partner of ALTA (Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association), the aviation consultancy is – as in previous years – represented with an exhibition stand. Lufthansa Consulting’s Associate Partner responsible for South America, Liége Emmerz, and Associate Partner Marc Landgraf, will be delighted to welcome visitors at booth No. 19.
As one of the management consulting firms with worldwide activities in the air transport industry, Lufthansa Consulting has been present in Latin America and the Caribbean since twenty-five years. Its participation in this forum and the partnership with ALTA underpins the company’s continuing engagement in the region.
The aviation industry in Latin America and the Caribbean has been growing constantly during the last years. Economic stability and higher income allow an increasing number of travel for leisure and business purposes. The numbers of passengers are increasing rapidly, thus demanding more from airlines. The ALTA member carriers have more than doubled passenger traffic in less than ten years. It is essential to continue on promoting the re-investment in infrastructure and continuously improving efficiency and safety of the industry in the region. The necessity for improvements in security measures leads to better decision making by airlines and airport companies, as well as by the highest authority in aviation – the Civil Aviation Authority.
The demand derived from international events, such as the World Soccer Championship 2014 and the Olympic Games 2016 in Brazil, speed up growth and create the necessity for detailed planning and appropriate solution finding. Lufthansa Consulting supports the effective, fast and transparent development of such projects.
