Mann Yadanarpon Airlines, Myanmar, is cooperating with Lufthansa Consulting on the carrier’s preparation for the IOSA audit. The Asian regional airline is continuously endeavoring to raise its safety standards to the highest level. In its efforts to achieve global recognition, it aims to acquire the International Air Transport Association’s IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification.
The companies are working closely together to implement quality and safety standards in accordance with best practices and in compliance with IATA standards and recommended practices. Lufthansa Consulting’s support includes the customized preparation of all operational manuals, the development of processes and procedures as well as active support in implementation. The project is scheduled to be finalized by the end of July 2015.
Privately owned Mann Yadanarpon Airlines operates scheduled domestic services from its Mandalay base and also offers charter flights. All flight destinations are significant for tourism or for commercial reasons. Mann Yadanarpon is the first carrier in Myanmar to base its operations at Mandalay International Airport. Mandalay is the second largest city and the cultural center of Myanmar and is located close to the main tourist destinations of Bagan and Inle Lake (Heho).
