From 4 – 5 March 2015 Managing Consultant Christian Meyer is representing Lufthansa Consulting at the Port Finance International Brazil conference in Rio de Janeiro. Within the framework of the session about Brazil’s infrastructure challenge on day 2 of the event he contributes a speech on the topic "Two industries, similar challenges – How the maritime industry can benefit from aviation know-how".
In his presentation at this ports sector forum Meyer shares Lufthansa Consulting’s experiences from the Brazilian airport privatization and thereby underlines the management consultancy’s increasing engagement also in related branches. Building on its renowned expertise in the global aviation industry Lufthansa Consulting has identified that many of the areas of expertise in which they have a strong track record can be successfully transferred to non-aviation sectors.
Over the next few years, also companies from the maritime economy, such as ports can expect to face increasing challenges as a result of changing customer demands, market situations, new technologies and the increasing integration of traditional offline and digital channels. Port Finance International aims to look to the future by bringing key players from the private sector, key regulators, government bodies and the international community together to debate the future and investment potential of Brazil's port plans.
As one of the leading management consulting firms in the aviation industry with worldwide activities and more than 25 years of experience, Lufthansa Consulting covers consulting and implementation services in all aspects of a top management consulting firm. Besides the aviation focus they concentrate, in particular, on global transport and logistics companies, railways, bus line operators, service providers and the main players within tourism and hospitality, and seaports and heliports around the globe.
