Latest projects of the consultancy in the CIS region have included several assignments with Kazakhstan’s national airline Air Astana in 2012 and 2013, especially in the field of network and fleet planning but – in addition – of maintenance optimization and ETOPS assessment. Lufthansa Consulting successfully completed the comprehensive master plan development project at Kazakhstan’s Almaty International Airport.
Further assignments are the just started development of an Airport Holding strategy for up to 11 airports in Kazakhstan and a nearly finalized Air Service Development project for an airport in Ukraine.
Moreover, Lufthansa Consulting recently worked for clients in Russia. The company developed the traffic forecast and master plan concept for the new “greenfield” Rostov International Airport in the South of Russia and successfully completed an Air Service Development project at Begishevo Airport in Naberezhniye Chelny.
Challenging market developments and requirements increase the demand for consulting services from airlines, airports and related organizations in the CIS region. Lufthansa Consulting’s work also for helicopter and railway companies, post and logistics firms and in intermodal projects underpins the company’s continuing engagement in this market.
